Closing Individual Jobs - Syteline

 

These are provided to you via job traveler packets. These jobs are for parts only; not assemblies.

Step 1: Verify that ALL labor has been posted via the job transaction report.

Step 2:  Go to Job Material Transactions

  1. Type in job number, hit tab.
  2. Check to be sure the quantity field of on hand matches or exceeds the listed required quantity. If an item is short, verify what the category the issues falls in below and refer the issue to the listed party for correction.
    1. Missing item source is transferred or purchased- submit issue to purchasing
    2. Item source is manufactured- verify no existing unclosed job.
      1. If yes, go through steps 1-4 to close this job out first
      2. If no, submit to production inventory control for investigation
    3. Item source is inventory- submit to production manager to verify is alternate, scrap, or was even used.
  3. Once all items show enough to post, select the SELECET ALL icon
  4. Select the PROCESS icon

Step 3: Go to Unposted Job Transactions

  1. Must hit magnifying glass to add info in.
  2. Change Transaction Type to MOVE
  3.  (do not change date.)- unless requested to back date for month end purposes
  4. Put in job number then tab over to Operations.
  5. Operations is always last in sequence when closing jobs.
  6. Completed: quantity of the item goes here. Tab
  7. Now click on 1) Oper Complete to add a check

    2) Close Job to add a check

h. Save

 

Step 4: Post Job Transactions

  1. Click “post complete transactions” top of screen
  2. Type job number in both starting and ending spaces
  3. PROCESS.

To check that it posted you can either pull up past due jobs report to make sure the job number is completely gone, or

Pull up the Unposted Job Transactions screen again and hit your mag glass. Nothing should come up on the screen which means everything has been closed out and completed.
